Who is paying your electricity bill? Your builder won’t! You’re A/C contractor won’t! All of your nay saying friends won’t!… But I will. If we spray foam your house with Demilec USA Sealection 500, and you opt to have us size your HVAC unit, we will guarantee your heating and cooling bill for a period two years. Who else will do that? We know and fully understand that it sounds ridiculous to have a $150 average electricity bill in a 4,200 sq ft house but it often happens. With Rock-Crete Foam Insulators, its is the norm, not the exception. We take the direction of your house, windows, doors and electricity rates in your area into consideration adn then we factor int he spray foam insulation and give you an estimated usage for the HVAC portion of your bill. We also tell you the size of A/C that you need. We did this with the Mason’s House and their A/C and heating portion of their bill was guaranteed at $65 per month. After one year, their average bill was only $42.00 monthly. Their total bill ran about $60 more. We achieve this by doing a superior job with out excellet foam insulation and cauling crews.

What does it cost in a new home? Depending on how you look at it, it may just be FREE!

Possible guarantee on hearing and cooling part of utility bill $80. The same house with fiberglass would cose about $200 monthly to hear and cool. Savings monthly is $120. Payback on investment=11months. Savings over a 20 year time is $28,800 with our guaranteed program not including escalation of energy prices. Most people actually save about 40% more than our guarantee. That would make the savings over a 20 year period over $40,000! These are conservative figures.

Now I ask you one more time, after you move into your new home, WHO IS GOING TO PAY YOUR ENERGY BILL? It is certainly not the architect. What about the builder? Maybe the air condition conractor? How about the guy selling you that inefficient other insulation? NO! You will be paying it! It just makes common sense to invest in foam insulation, by Demilec, USA, which really does PAY YOU BACK!

The U.S. Army just approved a $7 million expansion of its current $32 million spray foam insulation contact in Afghanistan. In the study done by AMSAA for the U.S. military, they are able to decrease 70-95 percent of the diesel fuel needed to heat and cool military personnel. This $637 million dollar investment will save the taxpayers approx. $800 million, according to GOA (as reported in the New York Times, 1/8/10).

Example: 3000 sq ft house 8/12 pitch roof, garage not considered

Foam…………………………………………………………………………..$8,972

Minus radiate barrier, vented soffit and ridge vent……………….. -900

Minus fiberglass insulation……………………………………………….-3000

Going from 2 A/C units to 1, and dropping 2.5 tons……………….-3750

Total Cost of FOAM …………………………………………………….$1,322

Amortized on a monthly basis cost is only $6.70 per month

After being featured on television shows such as “This Old House” and “Extreme Makeover Home Edition,” the use of spray foam insulation has really taken off.

Given spray foam insulation’s energy efficiency and sound insulating properties, many people building new homes are turning to spray foam over other types of insulation. But what about people that would like to update their existing home?

“People come up to us at home shows and ask if we can retrofit their homes with spray foam insulation,” said Rock-Crete Foam Insulators’ Bobby Housley. “We tell them that it’s easier than they think. We can come out and spray the underside of the roof deck and the results will be very noticeable.”

There are many factors that contribute to the effectiveness of spray foam insulation, so pinpointing how much of a change that a customer will see on their utility bill.

“Let’s say that you have a small house with a metal roof and you haven’t done much of anything to make your house energy efficient,” Housley said. “If we come out and just spray the underside of the roof, you’re going to see a dramatic difference, as much as 50 to 60 percent on your energy bill.

Now if you’ve already been upgrading your house to make it more energy efficient and you do the foam as the last step of the upgrade, you might only see a 20 percent drop, but that’s because you’ve already lowered the bill with the other upgrades you’ve done.”

“The foam will work better than you can advertise a lot of the time,” added Greg Pruitt. “We can say that you’ll save up to 50 percent on your heating and cooling bills, but every house is different, so you could see more than a 50 percent savings.”

Some of Rock-Crete’s customers really got to see the benefits of foam insulation after Hurricane Ike passed through the area. Allen Burke, from Magnolia, and William Urbanosky, from Plantersville, lost electricity after the storm and said foam insulation made that time much more bearable.

“When we lost power during Hurricane Ike, our generator ran the refrigerator, the fan and some lights,” Burke said. “But with the foam, the house never got warmer than 77 degrees.”

Urbanosky also was on a generator in his nearly 5,000 square foot house after Ike passed.

“After the storm, we went six days without power,” Urbanosky said. “Our generator ran a few lights and our three refrigerators, but the house never got over 78 degrees.”

Rock-Crete has been installing foam insulation for over three years, an accomplishment in an industry were foam installation businesses often fold within a year. They offer top-quality installation and work closely with builders and homeowners to make sure the job is done right the first time.

Pruitt said some homebuilders are put off by the cost of foam insulation, but that the homeowners are catching on fast to a lifetime product that pays for itself in three to five years. Housley added that the nature of the energy market has also spurred homeowners to learn about the benefits of foam insulation.

“We’ve all become tired of feeling like victims,” Housley said. “Energy costs are going to increase, we can’t control that. The best we can do is to make our homes as energy efficient as possible. This is something we can control.”

For more information on energy efficiency or Energy Wise building call Greg Pruitt with Rock-Crete Foam Insulators at 936-399-4674 or 979-229-3493.
